How To Hydrate Your Skin in the Winter
November 29, 2011
I frequently get this question. So I will again share some tips on “How to hydrate your skin in the winter?” The answer is not simple but it is easier than you think.
First of all, start from the inside out. Drink plenty of water and eat healthy foods rich in antioxidants.
Secondly, cleanse your skin with a rich hydrating cleanser (Oatmeal Purifying Bar), followed by a non-drying toner (Clarifying Facial Toner), then use a not oily rich moisturizer (Hydrating Night Cream) with vitamins and proteins to nourish and protect your thirsty skin. This simple routine will keep your skin free of impurities, promote cell turnover, maintain elasticity and create a moisture barrier between your face and the environment.
Third, if your skin is very dry, flaky and has micro wrinkles, use a gentle exfoliator (Exfoliating Skin Scrub) twice a week to remove the dead cell on the upper layer of your skin, then you will be able to expose the new cells. Your newly exposed fresh skin cells will make your face look radiant and youthful. As you moisturize your new skin, the dryness, flakiness and micro wrinkles will be significantly minimized or totally disappeared.
And finally, but not less important, whatever products you choose, select an organic skin care line that does not contain petroleum, mineral oils, harmful preservative, artificial fragrances, colorants, and other questionable substances, such as Paraben and BHT. Be aware of the ingredients in any product that comes in contact with your skin. They could damage your skin and affect your health if they make it through the skin into the blood stream.
Now, to review our tips: Skin hydration is as basic as drinking water and cleansing, exfoliating, toning and moisturizing the skin. Create a routine, make it simple and don’t worry about your skin, let nature do its work and you will always be beautiful and radiant at any age.
